make recorded meetings available for download in a non-proprietary or less restrictive format
Currently, the recorded meetings require citizens to install Silverlight in order to view the meetings online. It would be nice if the the recordings were available in a more readily accessible way for online streaming or for downloading to ones person computer.

Thank you for making the video more accessible to all computer users. This is definitely a change for the better. However, due to patent restrictions, the mp3 and mp4 files aren't really non-proprietary. That being said, this is still hugely better than requiring citizens to use a proprietary player to view the content.

This feature is now available - go to the web site, link "Meetings" at the top. All recorded meetings are now available in MP4 podcast and MP3, non-proprietary video formats.

Yes. And the changes would be done in the Granicus streaming solution we use. They currently require us to add the Podcast options (and download) to our system, and we haven't, due to funding.

All this would cost is the time required to
1. re-encode the video
2. upload the video to the server
3. create a link to the video -
That option comes with the Podcast feature, costs extra. Maybe, when the financial situation improves. Thankyou, though.
